Coco peat, also known as coconut fiber, coir fiber is a natural growing media made from the husk of a coconut. Coco peat originated as a byproduct of coconut fiber extraction, but with an awareness of its efficiency in plant growth, it has become widely used in greenhouse farming nowadays.
Coco peat is the principal growing medium in greenhouse farming in countries like Israel, the USA, Canada, Mexico, Countries in the European Union, and as well as in Japan. A very special grade of coir dust is washed, screened, and graded before being processed into various Coco coir/peat products for horticultural and agricultural applications.
Coco coir/peat is a multi-purpose soil conditioner and growing medium. It is consistent and uniform in texture. It is a completely homogenous material composed of millions of capillary micro-sponges that absorb and hold up to eight times its own weight in water. Coco peat is the best alternative for soil in greenhouse farming and hydroponic farming.

High Water Retention:
Coco peat has excellent water retention properties, allowing it to hold moisture for extended periods. This property helps in maintaining soil moisture levels and reducing the frequency of irrigation, making it particularly suitable for drought-prone areas.
Good Aeration:
Despite its ability to retain water, coco peat also provides good aeration to plant roots. Its fibrous structure creates air pockets within the medium, promoting root growth and preventing waterlogging.
